Spring Hill Farm offers several school tour  packages so you can incorporate your field trip with your curriculum.

"The Harvest" - Our traditional Harvest field trip includes a tractor drawn hay wagon ride through our fields to the Pumpkin Patch or Apple Orchard. There will be a lesson on how pumpkins, and/or apples, develop and grow. Each child will select his/her own pumpkin from the vine, or fill a bag with delicious apples from the trees.

The tour finishes with milk, cookies, a visit to the petting area, and playground time.

Cost: $6.00/child. Time allotment: One hour Click here for registration form >

"The Barnyard" - The Barnyard field trip has students exploring and investigating the origins of many products in their daily lives. There are many activities we have to help show the children how important our farms are to our daily lives.

Did you ever stop to wonder how a cookie becomes a cookie? We will educate the children on the answers to questions like this, and more. Students will also have time to explore our interactive barn activity area.

The tour will conclude with a visit to the petting area, a snack, and playground time.

Cost: $6.00/child. Time allotment: One hour Click here for registration form >

"Combo" - You may combine "The Harvest" Tour with "The Barnyard" Tour. The tour will conclude with a visit to the petting area, snack and playground time.

Cost: $8.00/child. Time allotment: Two hours Click here for registration form >

You may choose to add a small pumpkin to your tour for an additional charge of $1.50, if they are not already included in your tour package.

Our Farm School Tours. Bring your classroom to the Farm! We offer a wide selection of school tours designed to help children discover what makes a farm work. Tours run from mid-September through the end of October.

A child's curiousity is endless - it leads them to ask questions, explore their environment, and helps in understanding the world around them. Our tours incorporate a variety of hands on, interactive activities that explore agriculture, and connect the farm to their world through the food they eat and the products they use.

We have extended our tours with our new "Barnyard Adventure Area" and have incorporated various interactive, easy to follow activities linked to the curriculum and suitable for pre-schoolers to grade 4. Our Farm is "Farm-tastically" fun. Book your tour today! Learn more >

Pick your own. Our Farm features seasonal pick-your-own fruits and vegetables including:

  • Strawberry Picking - Our fields are open, and the berries are sweet and juicy!
  • Apple Picking - Weekends in October from 10 - 5 pm
  • Our Pumpkin Patch - U-Pick Pumpkin Field is open weekends in October 10 - 5 pm.
